Breakfast at The Republic of Meat : TROM Melawati

Well its more brunch than breakfast as I arrived there at 11am. I always love breakfast, I sanggup going places finding the good breakfast around.

When i saw TROM are having breakfast menu by their FB page, i know i have to give it a try.

Its pretty easy location if you get it right..Being me, sense of direction is not always been my strength but im trying to give it anyhow ok :
From MRR2 (From Ampang) take a ramp after Zoo Negara. Ramp dia adalah Taman Permata/Taman Melawati and go right. Then there’s a BHP Petrol on left, masuk BHP and susur keluar to the left through a lorong, theres a signboard of TROM, then masuk kiri, its nearby Bank Rakyat. Yalah, heres the map.

Pretty isolated place sebab nearby shops is still unopened. TROM stands alone, its kinda obvious to fnd.

First thing to note, i love the restaurant interior and decor. They’re using wood floor and its very europe-ish to my liking and during that time (i went there on Thursday) so tak ada orang. I suka quite place. Comfortable to chit-chat and do our own stuff.

I ordered Breakfast Platter with a coffee. A friend of mine, Faiz ordered Omelette with Green Tea. Then we add Tiramisu some more.. They dont have a set so we got to order food and beverage separately

It was sooo good.

Home made baked beans,beef strips, franks  ( i never ate homemade franks,crap it was truly heavenly) and garlic mashed potatoes. It feels like you go to someones house and they cook you this… or better yet, you went to celebrity chef’s home and they cook it for you. A meal for a guest, not a mere customer. TROM happens to be a steakhouse and butcher shop, so they kid you not about meat business! Most of the food here is home-made from sauce to franks, so expect wholesome.

Tiramisu which is TROM’s signature dessert is also home-made, its more like an icecream cake to me, I dont fancy freezy cake but it taste good, different from any Tiramisu i have tried before.

I cannot make a comparison with La Bodega’s breakfast (i went there before) as i was eating a different meal but boy this is soo good.  Worth a try if you are a sucker for breakfast.

Breakfast over a newspaper and random chat with good friend. Whats more to love, plus you still got plenty time of the day. Thats the best thing about breakfast, especially during a weekends.

They just introduce their breakfast menu, Another dish is pancakes, egg mayo sandwich, cereal, omellete, scrambled eggs, salted beef/beef bacon sandwich, and fruit platter.
And lunch set for weekdays..A very good deals they got here..

Actually ada 6 sets of this Lunch Deal tapi oh well.., boleh browse through their FB Page, as well as their in-house menu and also a peek on their dishes.

I choose this because location-wise, price-wise, good place to lepak and having girl-talk..
Total damage is around MYR50++…i dont remember the exact figure. Im not the one who pays leh ;p
Oh we ordered 4 drinks actually, a cake, and 2 breakfast meal.

They said a good food is a treasure. It is.
Whats more, its premium quality with an affordable price.

Hehehe i stumble upon a link about healthy snack…Dia cakap buat frozen banana..or even better boleh buat ice cream.. tak try lagi.. Ada 2 ways

1. Peel a banana, masuk dalam bekas and freeze them.. then makan macam aiskrim. *If rajin cucuk batang aiskrim and dipped in chocolate molten. Salut pula nuts/almond..walaweh..

2. Peel bananas, cut them into pieces..freeze for 1-2 hour..blend sampai hancur..it will turns out to be ice creamy texture..i rasa cam xcaya..Cubalah.. Ni ada step to step guide with picture…

One ingredient ice cream.. Tapi dia tipu jugak la dia tambah peanut butter masa blend..hehe..still easy peasy. You can mix it with aaanyy thing you care to mix it with..

i am seriously fat…this is no joke!

Seeing the weight scale the other day made me……angry with myself…I ate a lott…i know..i know..so i ada goal to reach..lose 3kg by end of this month…inshaAllah..Thus i nak buat diet plan which is…Soup Diet…

Breakfast : Toast bread/Cereal
Lunch : Soup of either – cabbage, salad, bittergourd, chicken, suhun/fucuk, mushroom, wonton and fish..Together with fruits
Dinner : No latter than 8pm! eat fruits or leftover of soup.

Plus morning n evening i amik pomengranate acai berry.

So now every morning I kena masak soup.. Ok senang jahh…hehe.inshaAllahh..
And also i nak cari balik pill yg buat i kurus dulu..NF Slimherbs..it works on me dulu…harap it works now too!!

7-Day Diet: Cabbage Soup Diet Plan

Flaming Steamboat Buffet

Setelah menggoogle macam nak gila cari location steamboat halal and affordable, so me and my frinds went to Flaming Steamboat Restaurant. I reserve earlier to avoid frustration as before. So get the booking no 1. no 1 ok. Memang duduk betul-betul depan kaunter. I reserve 6 pax but turns out Nita cant join us because of her Granny ada kat rumah.

I pick up Fafa after work at 6.15, then fetch Zulin at her place, WangsaMas, off to DUKE because wanted to avoid traffic jam at Mrr2. I took the ramp Jalan Duta then gone haywire because salah ambil jalan. Wanted to use NPE but out of the blue, smpai kat Federal highway, right at the gerbang darul ehsan tu.urghh kena face traffic jam jugak. Then we arrive around 7.45 at PJS11. Flaming location adalah senang sebab after Sunway Pyramid, take the left ramp ada banyak shophouses just right before ESSO. Since me and fafa were fasting, we bought some beverages at ESSO then cari surau based on my Garmin. Surau adalah dekat tapi Garmin bawak jalan2 pusing2, however we manage to find it anyhoo. After solat straight to Flaming and find our seat. Aya came +10minutes later.

Yay the food selection banyak.. Sangat berbaloi la dengan rm20.90+ tu. i do not snap the whole thing because ramai orang. First got noodles selection, many varieties, then beverages about 4 choices, ice cream about 6-8 flavors, veggies got 3-4 choice, nasi goreng, bihun goreng, lauk-pauk eg sotong masak kicap, ayam masak merah, byk lagi. Steamboat thing ada fresh and processed. processed one place, fresh another place. I prefer fresh seafood la. memang craving sangat.Got chicken, fish, crabs, squid pun dah 4 jenis, prawn, shells, clam. I cant describe it all.

CT Forze One, Wangsa Maju

The original arrangement is to have a little get-together among my uni friends here in KL. I waste make use of my whole week for the best place to eat that end up the blog post entitle Steamboat Buffet KL. Yah I wanna eat big. And what I mean by big is that endless big portion with limitless refill. So buffet it is. And I found this affordable…..hey hey ape aku mengarut..Ni blog post about CT Forze. Ok back to actual reason..I make a phone call to the place, that is Flaming Steamboat to reserve a seat but end up full. So the get-together is cancelled. And this adorable Zue says she wanna treat me dinner because I’ve been planning so hard for this get together..(Takdelah sangat pun ok).. Then afterwards sleeping at her place tengok Cougar Town together. of course I said yes. I did some googling and found CT Forze One near Wangsa Maju which is near Zue’s workplace and recommend it to her. So off we go….

CT Forze One is a military-based restaurant. I think one of a kind in Malaysia. It is run by a former Lieutenant so the whole concept is celoreng-celoreng. The table cloth, the wallpaper filled with military-army information, the waiter wore military shirt with boot, the outside restaurant is all those military stuff-golf caddy transform into battlefield vehicle.

Ok so the menu is ranging from local to western. Price wise moderate. If you order the food inside the 1^st page of the menu book, you’ll be serve in a meestin, the thing that campers/army cook and eat on. Western food cannot la put inside those meestin.

Rata-rata pengujung adalah Masyarakat Islam, dan jika ada logo HALAL walhal tidak HALAL maka ini telah dianggap menipu serta tidak sensitif terhadap masyarakat ISLAM.

We had room service breakfast sent at 8am. They offers either fried noodles or sandwich with tea. Ok lah just to alas perot..Then we straight to Pasar Baru by angkut route Cicadas-Elang. Pay only Rp2,000 per person.

Total damage for telekung..Rp434,000 for 6 pieces of telekung..try to bargain like crazy but this bapak really tough maa..I bought the weird, unique looking telekung that is hardly to find in Malaysia as such awning telekung, 1 piece telekung sarung, travelling telekung, and hantaran telekung that includes sejadah n bags. hee love it

lantai 6 is the Pasar Baru Food Court..hefty kind of Indonesia food but i choose Pa Chi Met recommend by most forumers also.. We order Ikan Gurame bakar set komplit ( they do not sell individual orders, must be with rice and mineral water price RP32,000). Meanwhile we also order kinda Ayam penyet style but different name in front of PCM, for 3 person only Rp40,000 with drinking water summore…

bought bandung T shirt at Pasar baru only cost Rp15-25,000. At airport around Rp100,000!

Wedding favours at Dasar 2

The wedding favour is more cheaper outside of Pasar Baru, near the shop row, but I am tired already, decided to just buy it here..A bit pricey but still reasonable.

Went out from Pasar baru around 5pm…Dah macam kerja kat Pasar baru ni, from 9-5..hehe..We took Gemah Ripah cab(metered) to went back to hotel.. barang sangat banyak, xsanggup naik angkut. Cost around Rp25,000.

Solat, mandi and stuff then went out again to Chiwalk. Since it rains heavily, some of the plans does not went out well. We do not dine at D’Cost because of the electric circuit breakdown along Jalan Setiabudi, paris Van java road also banjir a bit..only Chi Walk are accessible and still got electricity.

Mula-mula nak makan di ES teller 77 but nearly close and some of the menu not available..So here we go, the food…so-so..Total damage Rp90,000 for 3 person. The deco is very nice.

Aya bought simpack XL, it is under axiata, many recommend this pack loh. Went to Sports FO near Chi Walk to see some of the stuff…then went back to hotel by Gemah Ripah cab..cost Rp20,000.

At hotel…packing all the stuff, sucking inside our bag because tomorrow we’ll be checkin in another hotell!!
