There’s this new reality show called Bank of Hollywood that gives away judges money(really?) to the needy just by asking it and explain the relevance behind the amount. Any purpose are allowed, from paying off college fee, settle hospital bill, get married, buy a car, pursue their career, vacations, you name it.
The judges- Sean Patterson ( owner of Wilhelmina Model agency), Melody Thornton (Pussycat doll singer), Candy Spelling (Tori Spelling’s widow, an author), Vanessa Ruosso (Pro poker player). Well..I dont understand why Melody in it..I know they need a singer celebrity as part of the panelist but why her? If they had choose Jessica Simpson, i would agree more.
The’s a lot of America’s dream that need to be fund by this show but in what way the dream will be approved? The judge will fund them if they had concise plan of how the money goes, priority to medical-related problem eg Heart operation, cancer patient treatment(how could anyone say no to this), have solid and proven talent for specific purpose, truly incapable to fund the dream themselves.
My tear drops several times watching this show especially anything related to handicapped, illness-burden people and someone who ask money for others, not their selves.
One example is Ann Belles. She has 50 adopted sons, each with special needs. The judges thought that she has 15, but she correct it by saying “Five Zero”. She ask for $73,000 so that she can buy a wheelchair van to get her children to school and places. Most of the panel shed into tears of thinking how tough this woman is. She doesn’t get the $73,000, and went home with $100,000 instead!
Yesterday theres this woman who need $ for her nursing school fee and her 3rd open heart surgery. She went through a lot in her life. She had heart problem since day 2 in this world and are using heart monitoring device inside. So well of course the judges gives the money to her.
Oh I wanted to help people in needs. Haritu nak pergi volunteer Soup Pertiwi tapi tak pergi-pergi lagi. I sign up MAKNA and SALAM volunteering.
